You may join Poplar Heights Baptist Church family in one of the following ways:

• by profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and following the Lord’s command to be baptized
  
  
• by transfer of membership from another Southern Baptist Church
   
• by statement of personal faith in Christ. If you are coming from another church of like faith or from another denomination, your statement affirming the following is acceptable:

                 a. I have received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior;

     b. I was baptized by immersion following my salvation; and

     c. I believe my baptism was a testimony of my faith in Christ, not a means of salvation.

• by immersion if coming from a different denomination that utilized another mode of baptism
  
  
• by watchcare -- for an individual who for valid reasons does not wish to become a member of this church but, he/she desires to be under the spiritual care and nurture of this body of believers.
