Ministries

Bible Study - Classes meet each Sunday at 9:00 a.m. We offer classes for people of all ages, Nursery through Senior Adults.
Children's Ministry - Children's programming includes Sunday Bible Study, G.A.'s and special events like Vacation Bible School and the Back to School Bash.
College and Career Ministry - College and Career Bible Study is coordinated by Terry and Mindy Essary. College and Career students are encouraged to be involved in all aspects of church life and ministry opportunities.
Deacon Ministry - Deacons fulfill the roll of servant leaders at Poplar Heights.
Little Lambs - This is a daycare program for preschool children, offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Registration is required.
Library - A circulating collection of resource materials, primarily books is available in the church's library.
Men's Ministry - This ministry is devoted to drawing men together for Christian service and fellowship. Events include the weekly Men's Prayer Breakfast and the special evening of fellowship known as the Wild Game Dinner.
Missions - In keeping with the Great Commission and Acts 1:8, church members are regular supporters and participants in missions activities locally, within Tennessee, the U.S. and internationally.
Music Ministry - The church has a blended style of worship that is enhanced by a Praise Team, small band and choir.
Outreach Ministry - Weekly efforts are used to reach new residents and long-time residents in the greater Jackson area.
Recreation - The church offers a recreation building, sporting fields, picnic pavilion and other recreational venues to reach and minister to the community and church members alike.
Senior Adult Ministry - A variety of senior adult Bible Study options are available. Monthly social and mission activities are also organized.
Stewardship - The church is committed to faithful giving to the church and the work of the Lord.
Student Ministry - In addition to Bible Study sessions taught by Gabe Mudd and Emily Dunn, there are plenty of youth activities. Whether coming to a pool party or a missions event, you will encounter a fun, friendly group of students.
Volunteering - Plenty of options exist for you to be involved in the work of Poplar Heights.
Welcome Team - Often serving as the "first face" of our church, our Welcome Team members may meet you at our doorways or in our parking lot. You are welcome to join us any time.
Women's Ministry - This ministry offers women of all ages opportunities for Christian fellowship and personal Christian development.
